“I’m truly honored to have been selected to carry the flag at the closing ceremonies. Alberta had a really strong showing at the Games and am happy to represent the successes of all Alberta athletes,” said Cole Pratt of being bestowed the honour of leading his province. “I share this honour with all my teammates and coaches who have helped me leading up and during these Canada Games.”

Pratt is celebrating his 15th birthday today.

Cam Berwald, Alberta’s Chef de Mission, is thrilled to see Cole nominated by his peers. “We are proud to announce that Cole will be our flag bearer into the closing ceremonies. Cole has electrified the entire Alberta delegation with his exploits in the pool, his competitive drive and his professional approach to performance. Athletes were inspired to see his success at the Pan Am Pool, an inspiration that transpired throughout all sports competing in the second week of competition.”

The Closing Ceremonies begin at 2pm at the Investors Group Stadium, home of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Over 60,000 spectators are expected for the closing ceremonies.

The celebrations will be broadcast on TSN and RDS.
