Team Alberta Mission Staff Application

The Ministry of Tourism and Sport - Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Branch invites volunteers to apply for Team Alberta Mission Staff at the 2025 Canada Summer Games taking place August 9 - 24, 2025, in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Listed below are the qualifications and qualities Team Alberta is looking for in potential candidates:

  • Volunteer or paid staff with a provincial sport/recreation organization or related field
  • Training or education in sport/recreation or related field
  • Knowledge of the Alberta amateur sport system
  • Enthusiasm and interest for games and working in a multi-sport environment
  • Willingness and ability to commit the time pre-games, during games and post games
  • Ability to operate independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to provide excellent service to assigned sports and Team Alberta
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • High energy, positive attitude and multi-task oriented
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license

All applications must be received by Friday, May 31, 2024. Final selection and notification will occur in summer 2024.  Applicants may be called upon for a personal or virtual interview and will be required to submit a police records check before their position is confirmed.
